This is Gemma, my gorgeous wife. We’re got married on 15th September 2007.
I first met Gemma when we were both playing hockey for the same club, back in 2001. What first attracted me to her was her amazing smile and bubbly sense of fun that went everywhere with her. I thought that she was beautiful and I fancied her a lot. She really made me take notice of her.
Being a bit shy when it comes to the opposite sex, I never let it be known how I felt about her. One other thing that never let me show my true feelings was the age difference. At the time Gemma was 18 and I was 26. And then before I knew it, Gemma had left to go to university.
I’m not a person who really believes in fate. However. one night 3 years later I bumped into Gemma in town and, as they say, the rest is history.
Gemma is the love of my life, and is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Right from that very first night we connected, and it was like we’d been together forever. Now, that age gap that prevented me saying anything before does not seem relevant, maybe cos I’m a big kid at heart, she makes me feel like I’m so alive. I knew straight away that Gemma was the one for me, there is no one quite like her. We connect on so many levels.
