Ellie’s 2 today

Happy Birthday Ellie.

I can’t believe that you’re 2 years old today. Its hard to take in that two whole years have passed since you were born. You’re growing up so fast, a real cheeky little girl with a smile that is so cute.

Ellie’s Present

Ellie had another early birthday present yesterday, this time from Nana Jenny and Grandad. They came up to help with our garden, and brought Ellie’s present for her before her birthday on Thursday. They had bought her a little trike. Gemma put it all together and seeing Ellie’s face once it was built was a picture.

Ellie did get a bit bossy when Nana tried to push her the wrong way, shouting “Noooo!”

I think Ellie will love her new bike, and once she grows another inch or so then she’ll be able to reach the peddles

Ellie’s Early Birthday Present

Yesterday, Gemma and I spent the afternoon putting Ellie’s birthday present together. Even though its still a couple of weeks till her 2nd birthday we decided to put it up for her. She’s still at that age where birthdays don’t mean too much.

The hardest part of putting it together was getting the last piece of the main circular section together. After a few attempts at getting the last connection in place, I was getting a little frustrated with it. “AAAARGH!!!!”

Then with a bit of brute force we finally managed to get it together. After this it was all pretty much plain sailing. The legs fitted together pretty easily, although one of the bolts was cross-threaded, which made it so difficult to fit, I had to give up on that one. Fitting the springs and the mat to the frame was surprisingly easy.

Ellie had insisted on trying to help put the trampoline up so that she could go on the “bouncy” and was getting increaingly naggy as Gemma and I were taking far too long for her liking!!!

But seeing the look on her face when she was finally allowed to get on and jump about was fantastic!

One Year Older……………

As the title suggests it was my birthday yesterday. I’ve now reached the grand old age of 32!

Not at lot happens when you’re getting on.

I was woken by Ellie shouting to be let out of her room, and was given cards by Ellie and Gemma. Then it was off to work, lovely!!! Not the ideal thing to be doing on your birthday.

When I got home the sun was shining so we decided to sit out in the garden and have our dinner in the sunshine. Nice to relax in the sunshine with a ice cold beer!

It was a lovely way to end my birthday.
