1 Year Old and Still Going…

Gareth’s Blog has been going for a year now.

I’ve been quite surprised by how I’ve kept adding to it, I didn’t think that I would have lasted this long. It has been good to tell people about what’s been going on in my life.

In that time there has been:

• 148 posts (including this one)

• Over 9000 visits to my blog

• Over 130 comments - I’m quite surprised at this that people have wanted to leave comments.

• 2361 spam comments have been caught

• May 2008 was the best month: 2057 views.

• Tuesday 20th May 2008 was best day : 142 views

Thanks to everyone who has contributed and taken a look at what goes on in my life.

Here’s to the next 12 months.

Its Been A Busy Few Weeks

I must apologise that there hasn’t been much activity on my blog recently. Its been a busy few weeks that I’ve not had too much time to update things.

With starting my new job I’ve actually been doing some proper work so I’ve not had the same opportunities to update my blog with new stuff. So hopefully I’ll get into a better routine in the coming weeks and get posting on the blog.

Another Little Milestone

Another little milestone was passed yesterday on my blog.

My blog passed through the 5000 views barrier. As I said when I passed the 1000 view mark in September I didn’t think that many people would take much interest in what I had to say, but I’ve been surprised.

It took me nearly 6 months to get that first 1000. The next 4000 have come in about the same time. I guess I must be doing something right.

Here’s to the next 5000….

New Header Image

I’ve uploaded a new header image to my blog.

The original supplied with the “Pool” theme has served me well but I thought it was about time for a change. Give it a different look.

Contact Form Added

I’ve added a contact form to my blog here.

There’s a New Look to Gareth’s Blog

Some months back I posted that I’d been looking at alternative themes for my blog, but had decided against changing anything as I am a creature of habit. But recently there have been some new themes added to WordPress.com so I thought I’d take another look as I was getting bored with my “Cutline” theme.

As you can see from the surroundings of Gareth’s Blog, it is looking a little different now. I’ve decided to use the “Redoable Lite” theme. It is a complete contrast from the “Cutline” theme.

Give it another couple of months and I am in no doubt that I’ll be changing it again

I didn’t think that there’d be that many people wanting to read what I’ve got to say.
