There’s something quite magical about feeling your baby kick for the first time.
For the past couple of weeks Gemma has felt our little moving about inside her belly, but last night was the first time I’d be able to feel it. Even though I’d experienced the same thing when Gemma was carrying Ellie, it still felt just as thrilling.
He’s obviously getting a lot bigger and stronger now. His kicks are being felt on the outside now. I’m not sure what was going on in there, but I can imagine that he was trying out for the Welsh football team! He was having a good old thrash around. I don’t think he appreciated all the attention.
Until the next update…

Although I have yet to feel that, wifey is now getting sleepless nights where it is giving a good kick in there. I am predicting another Johnny Wilkinson in the making! It’ll turn out to be a girl now, or a boy that doesn’t like rugby like his Dad…but I can dream for the moment can’t I?!
It sounds like it is all going well now! Apart from the Nesquik drinking here, no new cravings have appeared. What about Gemma?

@Sy
Hope you don’t mind but I moved your comment to here.
Gemma’s never really had any cravings, not even with the first pregnancy. I think the nearest she has got to a craving is having a liking for mashed potatoes, but that’s about the extent of it.
Glad to hear that everything is going ok with you, we’re still having to wait for our test results etc from our last scan. It’ll probably be another couple of weeks before we see them, so keeping fingers crossed everything is ok.
You going to find out the sex? See if you’re going to have a little JW or not?

Hmmm…did I not post it on this thread to start with? Or did I have a moment where I read the post, then read another one and then replied to this one in it?!
A craving for Mashed Potato. Well you could have a LOT worse then!!!
Do keep us updated on the scan results. As you said before, 99% of the time it is nothing, and I am sure this will be one of those times!
We are certainly going to find out the sex as soon as we can! I want a boy, and have convinced myself so much that for that reason it will be a girl to the point that I will now be disappointed if it isnt a girl! How the human mind thinks! But very much hoping for a little JW!!

I think you had a moment
As long as the baby is healthy you won’t be disappointed whether its a boy or a girl. When is your next scan, can’t be long now?

Ugh…it is the end of March. Which although only 6 weeks away, is forever away! We have the midwife appointment tomorrow so that will be fun. We are at 16 weeks this week.

We’re now at the 20-week stage. Halfway there!
The time’s flying by.
When it all begins, you think 9 months till the baby’s here, but the time seems to be going so quickly.

I hear ya! How did we get 4 months in so quickly! She has started to feel it kick inside now though, so that is great. I am looking forward to being able to feel it too though as I feel somewhat left out! Although, I do get to enjoy more then 1 glass of wine a week…something she doesn’t! So swings and roundabouts really!
I hope you and Gemma have a great Valentines whatever you guys do.
